Sponsorship

Remember Ministries is a Sponsorship Agreement Holder (SAH), partnering with the Canadian government to help make refugee sponsorship possible. We walk closely with sponsors each step of the way, ensuring government requirements are met while newcomers receive the care, support, and welcome they need as they begin their new lives in Canada.

Are you a refugee looking for sponsorship?

Due to the high volume of requests we receive each year, we’re unable to respond to individual inquiries or provide direct assistance. Instead, we partner with trusted sponsors—primarily churches and Christian volunteer groups across Canada—who prayerfully choose and support the refugees they sponsor. For more information about eligibility for private sponsorship, please visit the Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP).

Responsibilities of a Sponsor

Every sponsorship is unique. Remember Ministries works with each church to equip them to carry out their sponsorship vision and with each refugee family to bring them to a place of safety and healing.

Steps in a sponsorship

A sponsorship is a complex process, involving multiple entities and spread out over several years. Remember Ministries guides each church and refugee family through every step.

Are you ready to sponsor?

Refugee sponsorship is a life-changing journey—for both those seeking safety and those offering welcome. If you feel called to be part of this meaningful work, we would love to connect with you.

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
